Spanish government Offices
Brussels
This project takes place in the REPER complex, the diplomatic headquarters that represents Spain in the capital of Europe, Brussels, In this part of the project the concerning area was to transform old fashioned enclosed offices into an inviting area of meeting rooms due to the high demand of meeting spaces during the Spanish European Presidency of 2023.
The space composed of 2 floors that before were enclosed office with little light gave place to 4 meeting rooms with multiples capacities and one big kitchenette very functional that can be used by the personal also for informal meetings.
Design wise the beautiful concrete beams were exposed in order to keep the same language used in the other floors, the old dark partitions gave place to new walls in chene combined with glass partitions to bring as much natural light as possible. The old flooring was replaced by a carpet to help with acoustics but also to blend in perfect with the apparent concrete.
In general, the use of natural, neutral materials that harmonize perfectly together in the composition of this new functional layout has allowed Reper to have comfortable and pleasant meeting spaces at its disposal.
